It's 2017 and I'm ready to tackle the new year! I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday. I'm excited about the upcoming golf season. I'm currently working on my game and even though it's cold here in the pacific northwest, I'm still able to get out and work with my new clubs from Mizuno. I'm playing the MP25 irons, the JPX EZ driver, three wood, mizuno s5 wedges, scotty cameron putter and the titleist pro v1x. I know it's going to take some time to adjust to the new equipment, but I'm already feeling like each session is getting better. This season will be a special and emotional one for me as I will dedicate it to my father who passed away a week before Thanksgiving. He loved golf and was very happy to see me play. He now has a front row seat and I can't wait to tee it up.
My nonprofit organization TeamWinfrey had a great 2016, and we look forward to another big year ahead. We hope to have a list of fundraising events very soon so please be sure to check out teamwinfrey.org for those details. I would like to shout out my team. Lisa and Vickie do a tremendous job and I'm very grateful for the hard work they put in.
My radio show (The Elijah Winfrey Show) is doing well. I've had some fantastic guests on who are doing wonderful things in the community! I would like to thank everyone at KKNW Alternative Talk Radio for making me feel part of the tremendous team you have there.
Last but not least, I want to thank all of you who support me here and on other social media platforms. I wish you all the best this year and remember that you are the star and director of your life. Take ownership of it and enjoy the journey. embrace the ups and downs that will come your way and live up to your expectations, not the ones others have set for you. Be true to yourself and I promise you, great things will happen.
