Well the year is starting to really pick up steam. Can you believe it's already April! As you all know this is a very important month. This month is Autism awareness month. We all agree that every month is autism awareness month, but April is even more important. It's during that time that we as people and organizations come together to make our voices heard for the families who don't have a voice and are very often pushed aside. I've made it my mission to help as many families as I can receive the services they need to help raise their children in a world where they are often bullied and labeled as impossible to teach or reach. Too many times we all see this happen and it's time to stop the trend of saying I can't help you. Kids and adults with autism want the same opportunities as the next person and treated as such. I've coached and met with some outstanding individuals who have tons to offer if given the chance. My niece and nephew are doing really well in school and my nephew helps with my website and has dreams of being and artist after he graduates this year from high school. I look forward to watching him walk across the stage and receive his diploma! Autism affects 1 in 68 kids, but that doesn't mean life is over. To me it means that the kids need someone to believe in them, and not be so quick to judge. I challenge all of you to reach out to someone in your community or simply learn about autism and share it with others. I love raising awareness, I love advocating and to the moms and dads out there who are working really hard to make things work and can't do some of the things you would like to do, I hear you, I love you, and just know that what I do on the golf course and with TeamWinfrey is all about you! You inspire me to do better and continue to push hard and create avenues for you to get the things you need. Thank you and keep up the great work, it doesn't go unnoticed. As always I appreciate the support and I wish all of you continued success! Take care and God Bless.
