Hello Everyone,
I hope everyone has gotten off to a great start this year! I've been very busy with TeamWinfrey and getting ready for the golf tour season and on the TeamWinfrey front, things have been going well. We will have our very first fundraiser in March as we lay out our plans and events for the year. We are very excited and can't wait to share the news with you. On the golf side of things, I was doing pretty well until a slight setback put things on hold for a while. I have a herniated disk in my lower back and it's been something I've dealt with for a while now, and I've been getting treatment and I'm back on the range working on my game and hoping things will continue to get better. I've only been out twice to play nine holes and I'm going to have to pick things up next month so that I'm ready for the season. I sure miss the guys and the atmosphere. I'm also sure by now that you've seen my new golf bag that is Autism themed and also community themed. I'm doing all I can to raise awareness for and about autism. The numbers grow everyday and we have to continue to advocate and demand that we get the services for the families that need it. I've had wonderful conversations with mom's and dad's who deal with autism everyday and I'm thankful that they let me into their lives to talk and listen. I've also worked with Make A Wish and just wrapped up a great wish. We sent a family to Hawaii and they had so much fun! They even brought me back a nice coffee mug! The First Tee of Seattle starts up for me this week and I'm looking forward to it. It will be nice to see the kids again. I hope Jack and Sam have been working on their game because I will be seeking them out for a little match play soon. Being busy is good for me and this year will be very busy. I do always put my family first and I've been so blessed to have  my wife and son support me and watching my son grow up has been amazing. He's only 3 but he's tall and likes golf, so that's pretty cool. My wife is the rock and she keeps me going when I'm down or having a tough time and I owe her a ton. I also owe all of you for your support as well. Thank you for always checking out my site. Thank you for following me on twitter and Instagram and thank you for supporting TeamWinfrey!! Until next time, take care and God Bless

Eli

Hello everyone and Happy New Year!!,
I'm so excited about 2014. I have a ton of things going on from playing golf, to working with my nonprofit TeamWinfrey, and Make A Wish, First Tee coach, and being VP of the Autism Guild. I also co-host my radio show with Lisa Iland, so I'm going to be all over the place, but the one constant that will remain the same is my advocacy for Autism. Autism affects 1 in 50 children and I really want to make this year a loud and determined one as we all continue to raise awareness. I think we need to push for a t.v. show as another avenue to educate people, and I will do my very best to make that happen. I'm very excited about getting back on the golf course this year and playing well. For every Birdie I make this year, I will donate 10 dollars to TeamWinfrey so that we can put on events for our community and help our autism and underprivileged families. I'm getting stronger everyday and will no doubt pace myself this year and my tour schedule will be full so I wont play a lot of rec golf because I want to stay healthy. I will prepare for every event at Bellevue Municipal Golf course, because it's close to home and I it's a great place to work on your game. The states I will play in that are a definite are Oregon, and Washington. Georgia, California, and Vegas are on my schedule, I just don't have a date that's firm yet, but stay tuned for that. My new golf bag will showcase my organization and spark conversation about autism and giving back to the community. I've pushed myself in my practice sessions and hope to finally get out and play a few holes and see how I'm doing. The range is great but I feel like you really learn more when you are out on the course and I can't wait to do that. As always I want to thank you for a wonderful 2013. The support I got was tremendous and I know this year is gonna be stronger. I hope you all have a great year and I look forward to meeting some of you very soon. Take care and God Bless.
