Happy New Year Folks!
May all your dreams and goals come true this year! As we embark on another year, I look forward to sharing my journey with you. This will be a busy one for me as we continue to grow with my nonprofit, radio show, and playing golf, I have to remember to pace myself.
My playing schedule is set for the most part. I will play in 10 events, which is down from the 12 I usually play in. I still haven't tested my elbow hitting golf shots yet but that will change the first weekend of this month. My body is feeling ok and it feels good to be back in the gym. When we started my weight was 216. I'm down to 206 and hope to get to 195 which for me is perfect. I hope to build off of my great season last year where I won 4 times and overall hit the ball really well. My short game was decent. I still need to work on my putting which was spotty. I'm excited to be playing in Texas for the first time ever! As most of you know, I'm a die hard Dallas Cowboys fan and I've always wanted to visit Texas. I can't wait to start my season!!
My nonprofit organization will be very active this year! along with sponsoring a youth golf junior league, we will be very active in the community. Helping families is what we are all about and you are a big part of that! Your donations go right back into the community to ensure families are able to get the things they need. We look forward to sharing photos, and stories so that you feel connected. We are always taking donations so please continue to help us give back.
My radio show is doing fantastic! I owe a lot of my shows success to my amazing co host Toni Boucher! Toni has been an incredible host with a strong voice and the listeners love her! I also am thankful for all of you who tune in each weekend! As we continue to grow, we encourage you to come on the show as use the platform to help those who need a voice, or educate others who may not understand autism, homelessness, and low income families. We are on every Saturday at 11 am pst on blogtalkradio.com. The day of the show will at some point change because of my playing schedule so stay tuned.
As you can see, I'm going to be busy and I have a lot dreams and goals I'm still chasing! Over time I've learned to be patient and trust the process. You can't connect the dots looking forward. You can only connect them looking backwards, so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in the future. You have to trust and believe in something. Your gut, destiny, life, karma, or something because believing that the dots will connect down the road will give you the confidence to follow your heart even when it leads off the tracks from time to time during your journey. Our time is limited even though we sometimes think we have forever to accomplish things. So don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma, which is living with the results of other people's thinking.
Don't let the noise of other people's opinions drown out your own. I see that a lot .You've got to find what you truly love to do. Your work will fill a large portion of your life and the only way to truly be satisfied is to do what you believe is great work, and the only way to do great work is to love what you do! If you haven't found it yet, keep looking and don't settle! I marvel at how well my wife does her job. I feel her passion everyday. She loves what she does and she never settled for who and what she wanted to be. She had the courage to follow her heart as have I and so should you. It somehow seems to know what and who you truly want to be. Remember, you are going to have ups and downs. I've had a ton and I'm sure I'll have more but I won't give in or give up. I've seen folks give up on themselves and it makes me sad because I see things in them that I know will make them great. The human spirit is powerful. Never forget that. Sometimes we get so caught up in our feelings that we miss the principles in the journey. I'm guilty of that and have learned to contain my emotions and channel them into something positive. I guess what I'm saying is continue to believe in yourself, even when others don't or try to derail you. Let your work ethic be your principle. embrace your short comings not as a failure, but a learning tool and live with passion. Remember, IT'S THE MOMENT BEFORE THE MOMENT THAT MAKES THE MOMENT POSSIBLE! Grab it and hold on to it. Make this year the year you find what it is you have been looking for. Own it!
I appreciate the love and support you always show me! Enjoy the new year and always continue to make someone or something better!
