Well the season is here for me as I look to start my season in Oregon. I'm excited and nervous about what lies ahead. It's a good kind of nervous though. My practice sessions have been going well and my swing changes will still take a while but I'm OK with that. I haven't played many rounds this year because I want to make sure my back and elbow are as strong as they need to be going into the season. I will play practice rounds the week of all events, but they will only be 9 hole rounds and a ton of short game work. My goal this year is to play a little smarter and take what the course gives me. I'm gonna try and play in as many events as possible, but that will all depend on my health. As always the goal is to win, but I also want to have fun! I also want to say that I represent the Autism community and I play for them and everyone who supports TeamWinfrey. For every birdie this season, I will donate 5 dollars to TeamWinfrey as we continue to raise awareness for autism and also the homeless, and underprivileged children. Giving back is important to me and I try to do it every chance I get. Saturday March 8, we have our very first TeamWinfrey fundraiser and we are excited about that. Please check out out TeamWinfrey Facebook page for more info and we would love it if you could attend or donate to our cause. I want to thank all of you for your support and reading my blog. Before I go I want mention that my good friend Jack Miller who is a student at The First Tee of Greater Seattle are playing a match play event that will last all season long and right now I'm 2up! He is a good player and reminds me of myself. We only play the par 3 course and It's fun to play with him. I hope you all have a a wonderful March and I will blog again soon. Take care and God Bless!!
