I hope all is well with everyone. The year for me is starting to pick up as I'm about a month or so away to starting my golf season. My practice sessions are going ok. I still have a lot of work to do to get ready so I've had to change some things in order to focus and prepare properly. My radio show which was doing very well had to stop for the moment. It will however return very soon and I hope to have some new features like a monthly co host to continue my efforts to giving back to the community. My body feels pretty good as I have added about 10 pounds of muscle which will help me with stamina during my rounds. I look forward to representing my communities in what will be a busy season. I will play in 16 events which include my match play events and skins game. As far as my charity event in August, I really do want to play in it this year and I have every intention to. I miss playing in my event and that's the only time I get to tee it up with the guys who support what I do. It's going to take a little time to get used to my new equipment, but I'm looking forward to it!
My charity golf event, The Elijah Winfrey Invitational will be played on the 25th of August. I'm still working on finding a course to host the event. The Home Course is still in play but there is now a mystery course that I'm talking with and I hope to have a home for the event by next week. This will be the 8th year of the charity event which helps raise awareness for autism, homelessness, low income families and underprivileged youth. All the proceeds benefit TeamWinfrey as we continue to give back to the community and each year we get bigger and bigger. As I said before, I truly hope to play this year.
TeamWinfrey is doing very well. We still need your help in getting scholarships for kids on the autism spectrum and help them get the teaching they need to be successful. By donating, you are doing just that! Visit TeamWinfrey.org and donate today.
As always, I appreciate your support here and on all social media platforms. My goal in life is to try my best to make someone or something better and using my platforms to do just that. Take care and I'll catch you on the flip side.
