Well it's that time again to prepare for my next event and I feel like I really got a handle on what went wrong during my last tournament and I feel like I have fixed the issues and now I'm ready to challenge for my first win. The tour is great and the players are fantastic to talk to and compete against. The next event is at Gold mountain and that course is always in fantastic shape. I'm also looking forward to playing at Chambers bay in June and the major in July that is played at Chambers bay as well. I have a busy summer coming up and hopefully my game will peak at the right time. I also wanted to talk about the PGA Instructor I met at Willows Run golf course. His name is Chace Fraser and this guy is a pro in every way. I can't thank this guy enough for what he has done for my game. You can read more about Chase on my site under PGA Instructor. As always, I want to thank everyone who takes the time to check out my site and I really appreciate all of your support. Talk to you in a week, until then, take care and God Bless.
My first tournament is in the books and I must say, I had a blast. I didn't play very well and I knew in my warm up session that the day was going to a hot and cold round and it was. The first four holes which are scoring holes were primed for the taking but I could not take advantage of any of them. the putter was ice cold all day and when I did make a putt it was for bogey, so I didn't get many looks for birdie. My swing just deserted me and I had to play with a band aid swing all day and let me tell you,.. its not fun when you have to do that. I will say though that I gave myself chances to recover but just could not get the job done. The day was beautiful, and the wind did play with the tee shots but in the end, you have to make adjustments. I'm going to take a week off before getting back on the course. I did raise 20 dollars for autism which I will match as the season goes forward. Thank you all for your support and I will update you soon about my next event. Until then take care and God Bless.
Well, the golf season has finally arrived for me as this week I prepare for my tour debut on the Gc Amateur Tour. I’m very excited and very nervous. I’m looking forward to having a great season and meeting everyone on tour. As I stated before I’m dedicating this season to my niece, nephew and all kids and adults who have Autism. I will sport the autism puzzle piece logo on my hat and continue to raise awareness. This week is final prep work and I’m looking forward to putting together a game plan to attack Washington national golf course. I also want to thank everyone who takes the time to follow me. You can also follow me on twitter @ElijahWinfrey1. The key for me this week is to take advantage of the holes I can score on. The first couple of holes give me a chance to get off to a solid start and hopefully that’s the case. I do have a number in mind that I think will win the tournament but I don’t want to say. Let’s just say I plan to shoot that number. I will post photos and video of the event and as I said, I look forward to having a blast. It’s Go Time!!!!! Talk to you after the tourney, until then, take care and God Bless.
