Well, my first major championship is in the books and I gotta say that, I loved every second of it. Chambers Bay is beautiful and if you get a chance to play it, please do because it is a must play. Now on to the Major championship results,.... Saturday was a little tough starting out because the fog covered the whole course or pretty much half of it and our group had a hard time seeing but lucky for us, we were all able to keep the ball in the fairway. We started on number 10 and my tee shot went left into the waste area, but I was able to get out, but couldn't get up and down and made a 7. after that I settled down and played a OK round. My driving was good for the most part and at the end of the round I was 12 back and I knew I needed to do something special to even have a remote shot at winning, but I do have faith in myself and I know I can play this game. Sunday was windy when we got to the course but it died down and was never really a factor for our afternoon groups and teeing off at 1:03pm, I thought the conditions were right for scoring and it was. I played really well and if it wasn't for the par 5 4th hole where I took a 11, I would have finished top 10, but 11th isn't bad and I know I left shots out there. The experience was a blast and I cant wait until next years majors. My last event on the tour will be the tour championship, being played at Suncadia Golf Course and Resort in August. I will get the dates and post on my site in the upcoming weeks. I also have to mention that I raised 50 more dollars for Autism, which brings my total that I have to put into the pot to 85 dollars, so I will reach my goal this year. Life is great. I would like to thank my wife for her endless support and walking the course with me. She had a blast and its always good to have that support. She is a blessing. Don't forget in September I will hold my Elijah Winfrey Invitational Open Championship in support of Autism and if you want to play in my event just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a comment on this site and I will get back to you. My event will be played on a Friday September 7 and I will walk for autism that following day September 8th. Thank you for all of your support as always and I will talk to you soon.
Well, its finally here...... my very first major and I gotta say, I'm so excited but at the same time very nervous. Golf Channel Am Tour players from around the country will play in this event. I think we have 180+ field of some of the best players on this tour and Chambers Bay will be a stern test for all of us. My game is peaking at the right time and my prep for this week will be to keep it simple and have fun. Last time at Chambers I didn't give myself any chances, but I feel this time will be different. Why?....Well I feel that I have been driving the ball better and giving myself chances to score. my short game has been there all season long and I really think it will finally come together this week. I will play a practice round Thursday at Chambers Bay and then its GOTIME!! after that. I will post my very first google+chat today and it will be posted to my website this afternoon so look for that. Also feel free to come out and support us on the tour. Chambers Bay is a nice place and has a trail inside the course you can walk. The weather is going to be great so come on out. As always, thank you for the support you show me by checking out my site and I will talk to you after the championship!! Take care and God Bless!!
Well I really played well at the Puget Sound Open. I didn't win which is always the goal but a 8th place finish and solid ball striking was what I really wanted to happen and it did. For the first time all year my driver behaved and gave me chances at birdie and left me in position to fire at a lot of flags. I'm really trending upward and with the Major Championship next up at Chambers Bay, I really think I'm going to do something special. My short game which has been good and consistent all year was OK, but next week is major's week for us and I am really gonna work hard on everything. my confidence is growing with each shot now and I'm so jacked and ready for this championship. My very first major....... wow, what more can I say. Players from across the united states will play in this championship. I also raised 40 more dollars for autism and that is always a great thing. If any of you get a chance and want to watch us at next weeks major championship, please by all means come on out. Chambers Bay is breath taking and has a trail you can walk inside the golf course and sits on the water. I will be holding a Google+ chat next Monday talking about our major and all things golf, so feel free to join me. As always thank you for always checking out my site and supporting me. I'm always grateful to have a few fans who love what I do. Take care and God Bless.
