I hope you all are doing well. Things have been very busy for me as we approach the end of this month. As many of you know, I have a foundation that helps improve the lives of families on the autism spectrum, as well as underprivileged youth and the homeless. After working hard to build my foundation from the ground up, we were finally notified by the IRS that we are fully tax exempt 501(C)(3), and that was a huge step for us! I'm so proud of my directors Lisa Winfrey, and Vickie Daniels for all of their hard work in helping me accomplish this huge milestone. We are going to be doing some big and great things in the very near future, so please stay tuned. My tour schedule for next year wont be set for some time, but I will be playing in a very cool match play event that will benefit TeamWinfrey. The TeamWinfrey Match Play Invitational will be played during the spring and summer of 2015, and the format to produce a champion will be based on points. Jack Miller came up with that format and I think it's great! Along with Jack and I in the field, Zachery Lockhart, and Sam Miller are also part of this event. We do hope to add one more player and that announcement will come in the very near future. These guys are great to play with, but more importantly, they are wonderful people. The Elijah Winfrey Open Invitational which is my personal charity golf event that raises awareness for autism, underprivileged youth, and the homeless is Monday the 22nd of this month and I'm so excited for this event. It's going into it's 5th year and all the money raised will go to TeamWinfrey. Next year I will be looking for a permanent home for this event now that it's part of my foundation. It really means a lot to have friends come out and play for a great cause and give back to the community. I'm looking forward to watching them play. If you would like to donate please feel free to go to our website http://teamwinfreycorp.weebly.com/ and click on How you can help. My radio show is also doing very well and I will be looking for a co host. Talkin Live with Eli airs on Mondays on blogtalkradio.com, and will be back on the 29 of this month so be sure to catch it. It is also available as a podcast. I'm looking forward to getting back into the gym in November to get ready for the 2015 season. I feel good but I haven't played golf since the season has been over so I can't wait to get back after it. As always, I thank all of you for your support and I'm always humbled by blessings given to me. You all are truly great and I appreciate the friendships We've formed. I look forward to writing you again in October with more great news! Take Care and God Bless.
Fall is here and can you believe it's already September! This is going to be a busy month for me. I will be at the First Tee of Seattle teaching golf classes and I'm always excited about that. The kids are great and the coaches are also a blast to work with. On September 22, My golf tournament, The Elijah Winfrey Open Invitational will be played and this is the 5th year of my personal event. I'm very proud of what my event means to not only me but the community and we continue to raise awareness for autism and underprivileged youth and the homeless. I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am to have friends come out and support me. Proceeds will go to TeamWinfrey as we continue to help improve the lives of families in the community. I'm also working on a special event for next season, as Jack Miller and I will be adding more players to our match play event, and we both will have an announcement about that very soon. I can't wait to begin off season work to prepare for the 2015 golf season. Off season workouts begin in November. On the health front, I'm doing well. I haven't swung a golf club since the season ended as I continue to let my body heal. My radio show is doing great and I will start looking for a volunteer co host to help me run the show soon. Thank you as always for your continued support. I'm truly blessed and thankful. Looking forward to seeing you soon. Take care and God Bless.
