We are beginning to approach the dog days of summer and for me, I'm almost done with my season. It's been a up and down year so far but I'm hoping to end it on a very high note! With two events to go, I really have to play at a very high level and I really have no margin for error. I'm ready for that challenge. I love the pressure golf puts you under. My swing has been inconsistent this season and I reinjured my elbow which makes things tough for me when I have to hit a certain shot. All in all, It's been a decent year. I've won once and have a few top ten's, so I can't complain.
My radio show continues to grow and reach those in the community who need a platform to share thier story. The guest list get's bigger and bigger each week. Toni continues to set the pace as my wonderful co host whom I couldn't do the show without!
This month also is the month when I host my charity golf event and I'm excited about it! Friday August 24th is the day and it's going to be a ton of fun. If you would like to play, visit TeamWinfrey.org and register. If you can't but still want to donate, we definitely would appreciate it! Your donations really do make a difference to us and the lives of those families who are homeless, underprivileged, and on the autism spectrum.
I want to thank The First Tee of Seattle for allowing my organization to sponsor a PGA Junior League team. It was great to see those kids have fun and play the game of golf while demonstrating the nine core values.
As you can see, I've been busy trying to make a difference and it feels good. I want to thank all of you for your support. I'm always trying to make someone or something better. I hope you are doing the same. Take care and remember you are important, talented, and as long as you believe in yourself, anything is possible.
