As January continues to slowly end, my practice sessions have come to a halt because of the snow, but that dosent mean that I have to stop working out and on my game, in fact it gives me extra time to work on and talk about other projects Im involved in. Last year I partnered with Autism Speaks here in Seattle and was a part of one of there walks that they do every year and let me tell you that it was awesome. I decided to get involved with Autism Speaks because my nephew has autism and watching him on a day to day basis go about his life and smile as though nothing is wrong was touching. I decided to study up on it and it really is a tough thing to live with. I decided that I wanted to a part of this movement and help raise awareness to autism. As Martin Luther King Jr said,..... You dont have to be famous to be great or to serve. We are all great and we all have a callin to serve whatever it is we believe in. Im no pro golfer or celebrity with access to millions of people, but if I can spark that one person to stand up and help me, then I know many will follow. This season on the Golf Channel Amatuer Tour, for every birdie I make ,.. I plan to donate 5 dollars to my walk now for autism web page . http://www.walknowforautismspeaks.org/pugetsound/elijahwinfrey
This Season is gonna be great and who knows, maybe some of my playing partners will help as well. Please visit my autism page for more info. Back to golf now. hopefully the weather turns for the better and I can get out and continue my practice sessions as the season is getting closer. Until next time,.. take care and hit them straight.
