In this Month’s edition of my blog, I want to talk about the golf balls I’m practicing with to determine which one I will play during the season. I use to think that a golf ball was just a golf ball no matter what brand it was when I first started playing golf, but as I got further along in the game I realized that the ball is just as important as getting fit for clubs, so with that in mind I started to tinker with different balls and for a while I played balls like Pinnacle, MaxFli Noodle, etc., etc. and realized that I needed to get serious about getting better and finally settled on Taylor Made golf balls and for a while they were great but I really liked Nike golf balls even though Titleist was the standard and still is by most people who I play with. I bought a dozen of the first Nike tour one golf balls years ago and was hooked. I was amazed at how soft the golf ball was and that’s when I decided to really focus on learning about the golf ball I played. Well now I’m stuck on Bridgestone golf balls and torn between the Nike 20XI and the Bridgestone 330RX. So far both balls move pretty well on the putting greens and both chip well. My swing speed is around 97-100mph so this month as I start to log rounds I’m hoping one of the balls out performs the other. This game is truly addictive and I can’t get enough of it. Practice is going well but I’m so ready to go out and play a few rounds before my first tourney in April. The weather just does not want to play fair, but it is the Pacific Northwest so it is what it is I guess. I will keep you posted on my practice rounds this month and also go to my online poll and let me know what you think about which ball is better Nike or Bridgestone, and as always God Bless and take it easy. Hit em straight.
