I hope you all are doing well. 2013 is coming to and end fast! October is here and before you know it, Christmas will be upon us. I've been pretty busy teaching at the First Tee of Seattle and running my organization TeamWinfrey. I continue to meet great people in the community and on social media. My radio show Talkin Live with Eli is doing great and the guests have wonderful stories to share. My show is all about the people and what they are doing to raise awareness in their community. Next month I get back in the gym and start getting ready for the 2015 season and I'm so excited to get started. As many of you know, I raise awareness for autism, the homeless, and underprivileged youth. I also raise awareness for Cancer and October is breast cancer awareness month. Breast cancer is the second most common kind of cancer in women. About 1 in 8 women born today in the United States will get breast cancer at some point.
The good news is that many women can survive breast cancer if it’s found and treated early. A mammogram – the screening test for breast cancer can help find breast cancer early when it’s easier to treat.
National Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a chance to raise awareness about the importance of early detection of breast cancer. Make a difference! Spread the word about mammograms and encourage communities, organizations, families, and individuals to get involved. I appreciate all the support as always. Take care and God Bless.
